Employment Attorney

Boren, Osher & Luftman, LLP (“BOL”) is a boutique litigation firm in El Segundo with a thriving practice in business, real estate and employment law. BOL represents both employers and employees in litigation and transactional matters. We are seeking an employment attorney with at least 3+ years of employment litigation experience at a reputable law firm. Admission to the California State bar is required. The ideal candidate will have top-notch legal writing and research skills. He or she must also be personable and able to relate well to colleagues, clients and opposing counsel alike.
Attorney responsibilities also include:

  • Drafting a wide variety of employment-related documents;
  • Litigating on behalf of both employees and employers;
  • Negotiating settlements;
  • Preparing demand letters;
  • Drafting policies and procedures;
  • Providing advice and counsel to employers and employees;
  • Client intake;
  • Interpreting and analyzing employment law developments; and
  • Interpreting and analyzing.

    Litigation Attorney

    Boren, Osher & Luftman, LLP (“BOL”) is a boutique law firm in El Segundo with a thriving litigation practice in business, real estate and employment law. We are in need of a litigator to join our litigation team. We are seeking an attorney with 3-6 years of litigation experience at a reputable law firm. Admission to the California State Bar is required. The ideal candidate will have top-notch legal writing and research skills, as well as significant civil litigation experience in California state court (i.e., 75% or more of his or her litigation practice has been in state court). This position requires legal research, drafting of motions and other pleadings, and the preparation of discovery (both propounding and responding). Our new attorney will also appear in court, take and defend depositions, and will assume responsibility for cases, including developing and implementing case strategy with the team from inception through trial.     Legal Assistant

    The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, flexible, organized, detail-oriented and a team player with strong interpersonal and communications skills. He or she can operate well in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. The candidate must also have legal experience supporting multiple individuals, be able to balance competing needs and be able to accommodate changing structural and support requirements. In short, our new assistant will be a receptionist, a legal secretary, a paralegal, and a general assistant — depending upon the day and the assistant’s capabilities.     Principal responsibilities include but are not limited to: all aspects of litigation support, preparing and filing documents in court, creating internal files; filing, photocopying, scanning; faxing; mailing correspondence, FedEx and post-office trips; document management and organization; drafting correspondence and legal forms, greeting clients and other guests; processing e-Filings, maintaining attorneys’ general calendar; coordinating messengers and deliveries; scheduling meetings; preparing conference room for meetings; and/or ordering food and drinks; assisting attorneys with trial preparations; and other clerical duties as they arise.

    The successful candidate will be welcoming, very confident, patient, charismatic, and have a sense of humor! Previous legal experience is required. Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat Reader, MS Office 10 is absolutely required; knowledge of TimeSolv is highly desired. A Paralegal Certificate is a plus.
