PROFILE
Matthew Tom is an attorney in BOL’s Litigation Group. He focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation matters in state and federal courts throughout California. His litigation experience includes copyright and trade secret cases, breach of contract and business tort cases, real estate disputes, public nuisance matters, and personal injury cases. He has experience in all aspects of litigation, including fact investigation, discovery, expert preparation, dispositive motion practice, mediation, arbitration, and jury trials. In 2022, Matthew second chaired a jury trial that resulted in one of the Top 100 Verdicts in Los Angeles County.
Matthew takes a holistic approach in all cases that he handles, whether they require mediation, arbitration, or trial. He is passionate about representing his clients’ interests and helping them solve complex litigation disputes efficiently and effectively.
Before joining BOL, Matthew gained litigation and transactional experience as a deputy city attorney for several cities in Southern California. During law school, he worked as a judicial extern for the Honorable Ramona G. See (Ret.) of the Los Angeles County Superior Court.
In his free time, Matthew is an avid golfer and enjoys traveling, music, and supporting the USC Trojans and LA Clippers.
