Jeremy J. Osher

ATTORNEY AT LAW

PROFILE

Jeremy J. Osher, a Founding Partner of BOL, is a seasoned litigator with more than two decades of experience representing clients in a wide range of matters including insurance coverage, complex business litigation, partnership disputes, labor and employment, professional negligence, real estate, and entertainment litigation. Jeremy works closely with his clients to develop strategies geared toward obtaining the best result in the most efficient and cost-effective manner, whether that means negotiating a favorable settlement before a lawsuit is filed or taking a case through trial or arbitration and then enforcing judgments where necessary. Recognizing that there is no “one size fits all” approach to litigation, Jeremy prides himself on ascertaining his clients’ specific needs, clearly explaining the options available, and then helping his clients achieve their goals.

Jeremy devotes a significant portion of his practice to counseling insurance policyholders with respect to coverage and related matters, including first- and third-party property-casualty issues, bodily injury, property damage, advertising and personal injury coverages, professional liability, errors and omissions, and directors and officers insurance. He has successfully obtained several six and seven figure recoveries for his policyholder clients in connection with breach of contract and bad faith claims, whether through settlement or litigation. Having litigated insurance matters throughout his career, Jeremy recognizes that virtually every litigation matter has an insurance component, and success often rests on identifying and exploiting the available coverage in each dispute, whether representing plaintiffs or defendants.

Jeremy’s love of litigation began as a teenager, when he was enlisted by his father to organize his law firm’s file room. After reading countless depositions and trial transcripts, Jeremy realized that litigation was a series of stories, and that the most successful lawyers were those who were the best at telling their client’s story. After law school, Jeremy practiced at the international law firms Jones Day and Howrey but soon realized he wanted more direct interaction and connection with his clients. He practiced with his brother Nathan for three years and then founded Boren, Osher & Luftman, LLP in 2006, with his two dear friends from law school. They have never looked back.

Jeremy has been selected by Super Lawyers Magazine as a “Super Lawyer” in business litigation on several occasions, a distinction awarded to only 5% of attorneys in Southern California.

In his free time, Jeremy is passionate about music and is a devoted follower of Los Angeles sports teams, particularly his Los Angeles Dodgers and UCLA Bruins. You can often find Jeremy at a live concert or with one or both of his twins in Loge Section 121 at Dodgers stadium.
